Trigger points are tiny knots that develop in a muscle when it is injured or overworked. They are defined as localized areas in which the muscle and connective tissue are highly sensitive to pain when compressed.

Pressure on these points can send referred pain to other specific parts of the body. Commonly a cause of most joint pain, Trigger points are also know to cause headaches, neck pain, lower back pain, tennis elbow and carpal tunnel syndrome.

The Physio MAX has be specifically designed by Physiotherapists to relieve the muscular aches and pains associated with these areas. It can also assist with the restoration of motion to joints following injury.

Because it is larger than a standard Pocket Physio it is most useful for deep muscle trigger release particularly Piriformus and Glute Medius and Minimus. This size is recommended for athletes.

Should I choose the Pocket Physio Max or Pocket Physio Mini?

That depends on what you are intending on using it for. The Max is best used while lying on the ground or against a wall. It is generally more beneficial for larger muscle groups, predominantly in the lower body. The Mini mimics a physio’s thumb. The benefit comes from holding the product in your hands and applying pressure to the affected area. This is generally used in upper body muscles.

Using the split end allows for triggering in two areas. If the product is used on the back, the groove allows room for the spine and ensures there’s no spinal pressure.
