The muscle trigger for serious athletes

What is the Pocket Physio Max?

The Pocket Physio Max is a larger version of the Pocket Physio, a molded plastic tool designed to target areas of tightness within a muscle that may be causing joint movement restriction or referred pain.

Used mainly for releasing tightness in the lower back, hip flexors and Glutes, its size and density replicate the pressure of a Physiotherapist's elbow.

Why do I need one?

This product is an active persons 'must have' recovery tool.

Targeting muscle trigger points and reducing symptoms helps muscles recover following sustained activity such as training or competition. It can also assist with the restoration of joint movement following injury, where normal movement patterns have been restricted for a period of time.

Because it is larger than a standard Pocket Physio, it is most useful for deep muscle trigger release particularly Piriformis and Glute Medius and Minimus.

How do I use it?

For less pressure, if you are triggering Lats or lateral Shoulder rotators, place the flat surface on a wall and apply pressure by leaning in.

To trigger Hip flexors, lateral rotators, ITB, Piriformis or QL lie on the ground and use your body weight to increase the pressure on these deep hard to reach muscles.

Frequently asked questions

Simple answers to common questions about this product

Should I choose the Pocket Physio Max or Pocket Physio Mini?

That depends on what you are intending on using it for. The Max is best used while lying on the ground or against a wall. It is generally more beneficial for larger muscle groups, predominantly in the lower body. The Mini mimics a physio’s thumb. The benefit comes from holding the product in your hands and applying pressure to the affected area. This is generally used in upper body muscles.

Using the split end allows for triggering in two areas. If the product is used on the back, the groove allows room for the spine and ensures there’s no spinal pressure.
